Iwamet is a family owned business, set-up in 2003. In the beginning it functioned as tool shop, next as company additionally specializing in precision machining of parts for aviation and other industries.

In 2007 Iwamet took-over the part of Federal Mogul Gorzyce which was producing aluminium castings for different application. The take- over was both equipment and highly qualified staff with many years of experience. An immediate renewal of production and delivery to customers allowed Iwamet to keep continuity of castings production.

Since 2007 Iwamet has been realizing an investment plan to start-up state of the art aluminium castings foundry in Stalowa Wola. In 2008 Iwamet started production of castings in technology of sand based on chemical hardeming (cold-box) and installed new machines to double the capacity in low pressure. Additional investments in GE X-ray machine and other equipment allowed the new plant to be fully independent.
